In the early 1900s, young architect, Samuel Daley Craig returned to the Shenandoah Valley from school to practice his trade of designing and building. In 1957 S. Daley Craig Jr. moved to Charlottesville to serve the expanding housing needs of the increasingly successful University of Virginia. For the past 40 + years, Sam Craig has guided Craig Builders as it continues to adapt to the everchanging home building market place in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.

The Craig Builders “family” of employees has steadily grown over the years through very selective matching of special people with specific roles. It is comprised of a tight-knit group of exceptional staff.
