You have the location. What you need is a builder who will do right by it. Acreage in Albemarle County, a lot in the City of Charlottesville, a homesite in a neighborhood that filled in years ago, or a piece of ground you are still deciding whether to buy. We build on land our customers bring us.

The land comes first. Before the house takes shape, we find out what it will actually support. Feasibility, site planning, survey, well and septic, permitting and local approvals. We handle all of it, and we do it in-house or with people we’ve trusted for decades. No chasing four consultants and hoping their answers line up.

On a build like this, site work is where budgets come apart. Our numbers include feasibility, survey, well, septic, site work, permitting and fees, so the work that comes before the house is already in the number.

We handle the financing the same way we handle everything else, by carrying it ourselves. No construction loan, no draw schedule, no interest on a house you can’t live in yet. You close once, when it’s done.

Once the site is settled, the house itself starts. Our Design Studio puts your selections in one place with a design team who does this every day. Where it makes sense to see something in person, at the cabinet shop or picking a slab at the stone yard, you go with an appointment already set and someone who knows what works with what you’ve picked. You are not out on your own with a vendor list, and you find out what a change costs before you commit to it.

We’ve been building here since 1957. Three generations of one family, building homes for the next one. Same name on the sign, same phone number.
